This project had a lot going on. I’m only going to focus on the shower and the upgrades to the master suite.
The first thing was the bathroom. The initial plan was to replace the bathtub, but finding the right size was proving difficult. It was quickly decided that a shower would be better anyhow, so that was that. Once again, it was that really old, bomb proof tile from the 40’s or 50’s that’s so fun to demo. Because we had a window preventing us from going all the way to the wall, we built a new wall and the resulting void would house a little built in cabinet.
Master bedroom
The plan for the master bedroom was to fix the door, which was at about eyeball height, and build a wall of built ins. First, the door.
The home owner had the cool idea to get some old doors from a salvage store and turn them into French doors, which worked great.
The other big project here was adding some closet space to a room that had none.
